Special Other Items:

Mercury Space program items, and space belt possibly worn by astronauts: The Mercury program was the first human space flight program of the United States from 1959 to 1963  created by NASA. The “space belt” and some other items were clearly used as part of the Mercury space program, but we don’t know for sure if any astronauts wore the belt. It’s possible it was all used primarily for research. We do know the belt, or one like it, was used to remotely monitor vital signs (respiration, heart rate, etc.)
